This is a type of stein (more likely called a jug) known as a Bartmannkrug. These pieces are characterized by the bearded mask extending below the pouring lip.
This piece was certainly made in the 20th century (the glaze and the artistic style indicate that), but we need to see base marks in order to identify it.
