Hi, Your stein says "Alt Grenzau 1894" This was a mark used by the Thewalt factory around 1960-70. Sometimes the mark reads "Original Mold 1894" This is to mean that a mold in use back in the late 19th century was used to make these steins. This is especially misleading in that the Thewalt factory didn't begin producing steins like this until 1897. The Westerwald pottery industry centered around three towns Hoehr, Grenzhausen and Grenzau. The mark is even more confusing when you consider the Thewalt firm was located in Hoehr, not in Grenzau. The steins have modest value, probably not more that $15-30 each.
