Hope you are still checking in. Your stein is by Reinhold Merkelbach. I suggest you go to the SCI Home Page and click on Library. Scroll all the way down to Marks--A Beginning. Your mark is there. It is either the 1945-1964 mark or the 1964-1968 mark.
Your stein is considered Modern/Contemporary. Your best value is to check for similar steins on ebay. Most of the Post WWll RM steins, and others, have very modest value as they were made in great quantities aimed primarily at the tourist trade.
