Take a look in the Beer Stein Library's Munich Child Character Stein Catalog under "Merkelbach & Wick", which made the stein for J. Reinemann, a Munich distributor. That's the first one I've seen with red sleeves, but the body is the same as those shown in the catalog. It's never found with a maker's mark and until recently we had it listed as a Marzi & Remy product in the Library, which was no doubt the source of Serguei's descriptive information.
One of the advantages of the on-line format over hard copy is the ability to correct errors and add new material as it's discovered. The eBay listing presents an excellent example of why it makes sense to use the Library as an interactive research tool rather than making hard copies of the materials, which can often become quickly outdated. - fjl
