Last question first, it is a stein regardless of how old it is. However, as the Kaiser Bill web site reveals, steins like this are still in production and marketed to the tourist/souvenir market, or for decorative purposes. Actually, I'm surprised at the retail price of this stein, since resale value for that piece would be only a fraction of the retail price.
I don't believe there are any differences between your stein and the example which would result in any change in valuation.
