Since most of the steins are unspectacular and without lids, I wouldn't value most of them over $50-$60 (depending on condition). They are a novelty item. Something tells me these probably weren't made before the 1920's or 1930, but that's just a guess. The stein that John found on eBay is a bit nicer, has a lid, and has an interesting theme of students giving their administrators a hard time. I'll leave it up to bidding to decide a value.

-- Maybe a frog could be put in most any stein (without lid that is). I've seen one in a stein that certainly looked like a Girmscheid. All those frogs have been the same (dark, flatter, and wider) as compared to the one in the eBay B&C stein.
