Hi...I have recently "inherited" a stein, I have been trying to find out more information about it. The markings on the bottom are Mettlach 1 GES GESCH 2880 I and then there is the number 86 and 04??? The scene on the stein appears to be a tavern and a man with his head lying on a table with a pitcher overturned.... I have researched the #2880 and there is a stein on Gary Kirsner's website that seems to be the same as mine. I don't have any photos at this time, but am in the process of getting them.
