Thanks for previous info. I found some more markings on the lid of the stein and would like to find out about them and how I can make sure if the stein is a reproduction or what? The markings on the lid are from the best i can tell are phoiet meier-h lampert-k spranger-w-thumger ohvNY or either dhvNY 1915 or 1916??? The lid is pewter with ceramic insert---I think this is what it is called. Thanks.
