Hi.

Recently I bought an old, blue and gray, salt-glazed beer stein. I don't really collect steins, but am a potter and appreciated it because it was hand thrown. It is rather large, approx 14 inches high and has nice coggle work around the top and bottom along with a number of sprigs. There are religous scenes, Adam and Eve, the Crucifiction all with plenty of blue coloring. It is hand thrown without any markings. The woman I bought it from said someone brought it back from England after the Second World War.

Any information about it would be greatly appreciated.
