No offense taken, and I realize I was pretty direct in my email to him. The seller did not indicate in his original listing that this was a consignment item and that he was only parroting what the consignor had told him. He (apparently) accepted exactly what he was told, and passed it off as gospel. I felt that his listing was so over the top that it had to be addressed forcefully. In retrospect, it appears to me that he had a lot more personally invested in the marketing of that stein than his indignation allows. The listing is now ended, I don't know why and I have not heard from him again.

Note that his feedback rating is 95 point something positive, and a quick look at his feedbacks indicates at least one buyer who felt he was lied to about the item he purchased.

I am by nature one who lets things pass more often than not. This one just raised my hackles.
