An excellent post, and a much-needed reminder. Many people participate in this board to get involved in discussions about steins. Most of us learn something from every thread. But it is frustrating to see post after post which attempts to describe a stein and asking for help in identifying, dating, or valuing the piece. That is almost impossible, especially if the person who provides the description is not fully versed in steins. As a consequence, since the only reply that would be worthwhile is "send photos", many inquiries go without response.
