Just went nosing through the collection and sure enough; there was a pottery 6th Dragoner Diedenhofen ( 1902/5 ). The banner cluster on the front clearly shows an emblem on the inside left position with the colors arranged red, white and black. For what it may be worth, Diedenhofen is listed as being in the Western Lorraine district.
