Hi, Bob. I'm not sure you should rely too heavily on replies to your question posted at this site. Almost all collectors will buy a stein that they like regardless of where it is made. That said, the majority of stein collectors, and certainly the majority of members of SCI, are not collecting NEW steins, made in Germany or elsewhere. In other words, if you are planning to start a retail stein import business, SCI members are not your best choice for a marketplace.
