Hi,
I will try to help you with your text. The first line says (German): "Eher soll die Welt verderben als vor Durst ein Bäcker sterben" (the world shall perish first before a bakerman dies of thirst) and "Unser Handwerk lebe hoch" (Long live our craft/trade!). Then: "Zur Erinnerung an Freiburg" (In rememberance of Freiburg [city in South-West Germany]). "Wilhelm Sütterli"(?) is probably the name of the owner of the stein. Further: "Spaziergang so leben die Bäcker in Freiburg" (strange sentence. Literally: Walking such is live of the bakermen in Freiburg). Next sentence: "Abschied von der Heimat" (Good-bye from home). Below the handle is probably the name of the painter, L. Walkemünelien(?) and "Dachauerstr." could be the street he lived in.
I hope I could help you with your questions. Best regards from Germany
Marc
