Hello Walt, thank you very much for your information. I am considering to buy this stein, it is in mint condition. But I was wondering about all the numbers and indeed the strange way the Mettlach mark was incised. Is that of any importance to the value of the stein? It is not one of the cheapest steins so I am looking for confirmation about this stein being " good" before I empty my pockets :))
