Any assistance with this stein would be most appreciated (tried earlier without response). I'm new at this and have reached a dead end. The stein is salt glazed relief and is unmarked as to capacity. There is a raised mold number (308) on the upper body under the handle. The pewter is fairly heavy with an open hinge five ring design. The base is flat with the mold number (308) incised on the bottom along with "Germany", a "0" and what looks like a fancy "5". I have obtained the translation which I believe is "Drink according to the old German ways. In the circle of good friends, empty this stein for yet a long time." Any help regarding the manufacturer, approximate age, or value would be most helpful. Here is a link to pictures. http://web.tampabay.rr.com/wbaltz/MyWebPage/BeerSteins/WorkFolder/ Thank You!
