Regarding the regimental, this type of lid would be called "jeweled", or a "jewel inlay", not a prism. (The "prism" in a prism lid is usually an inlay within a pewter ring, not set as the top of a pewter lid. These prisms are clear, and often have a scene either painted on the flat underside or captured between the glass and a flat pewter underside to the lid.) This lid is atypical of regimental steins, and would not be original. I cannot speak to the body.
