The seller finally sent me a reply as the auction ended, but she didn't post it to the auction - "The stein was examined by members of SCI in Portland at the Expo Antique Show and determined not to be a reproduction. It has a lot of detail that they used to determine this and the owner was actually deceased before the repoductions were made. Thanks for your intererst. I have a no questions asked refund policy also. Deb". I find it really interesting with all the photos they posted, none showed the handle, or the lithophane. My guess is, there really is a bump in the handle, and a nudie litho. Bidding made it all the way to $661, but didn't meet her reserve.
