Walt, I think it might be more fair to say that the A. Diesinger mark is "one" justification, rather than "the" justification, for attributing threaded relief steins to the Diesinger factory. More often than not, calls in the Beer Stein Library have been based on the handles, which are frequently identical to those found on pieces with the DRGM 154927 mark. On occasion Diesinger threaded relief can also be identified by an "AD/H" mark in the pewter. Using those characteristics and the tendency of Diesinger to repeat designs on multiple pieces, the identification of Diesinger threaded relief isn't really all that speculative a process.
