Chris, In working on the proposed new Dümler and Breiden catalog for the Beer Stein Library, I ran across an incised "LTM" mark on an early D&B stein (see http://www.beerstein.net/images/hold/dab-0058LTM.jpg A search of the Internet produced only one reference to the mark, which was in an article on this site that referred to "L.T.M." as "an unidentified finishing shop", and the books in my personal reference library weren't any help either. However, with the aid of Albert Thewalt, whose company apparently shipped steins to LTM between 1898 and 1903, the mystery firm has now been identified with as "L.Thannemann & Cie, München". That fact alone may not be enough for a "complete" listing in The Stein Reference, but it should at least provide you with a solid starting point for additional fact gathering.
