Good afternoon, I was wondering if you or someone you may know might be kind enough to let us know where this stein was made and about what year? My father bought it from a 'estate sale' in the 1950's and it has been around as long as I can remember. I used to hide my crayons in it when I was a child in the late 1960's. I am sure it is pewter and I am sure that is real antler, as I work in antler and bone. I do not know anything about steins, but I am guessing this is a German Stein since it has a lid? http://www.downtotherootsmagazine.com/Blogs/stein.htm I did not get a photo of the mark on the bottom, but it looks to be like a very small dove or very small angel. Definately something with wings. There are no other marks. There is no trace of any seam lines from a mold if that is how it was formed. The stein is quite lovely, but has been a bit of a mystery. It is about 12-14 inches tall and the size across of the antler/deer on the top is about the size of my palm (normal woman's hand). Any information would be wonderful, Thank you. Pjm
