I have been given a Stein and would be grateful for any information you can give. The base is not impressed just stamped original Gerzit (written in a circle). In the middle of the circle of writing there's a triangle stamp with a pic of a stein in it. Under the triangle still in the circle of writing it says Gerz W. Germany. Outside of the circle it is stamped '8'. The stein has a heavy not flimsy silver 'pewter?' lid. Inside the lid it is stamped 66 (or 99) depending which way you look at it, DBGM and DRM in a diamond like this <DRM>. The stone/pot is nicely decorated with cobalt blue background and says Des Wirtes Zier... ... ein Gutes Bier. (Landlord serves good beer??) The main picture is of 3 men. The man in the middle is standing with arms outstretched holding steins. The men either side or him are seated at a table with goblets in their hands. Possibly the landlord serving customers? Does this ring any bells with anyone? I haven't a clue about uploading photo's but can email them to anyone who is interested in seeing them. Any help much appreciated. It's not my cup of tea but would like some info on it and will probably sell it. Thanks in advance. Sue/UK
