Aside from the fact that it's a figural porcelain stein, it has little in common with typical Schierholz products. Perhaps most telling is the fact that it's normally seen with an external capacity mark, whereas Schierholz almost always marked the capacity on the interior. Moreover, the pewter lid would be unique among Schierholz character steins. Add to that the fact that it doesn't appear in any known Schierholz manufacturer's literature and you're left with little but groundless speculation to support a Schierholz call. I've actually got an "Umbrella Men" stein in my personal collection, so you can be sure it got a thorough going over before the decision was made to exclude it from the Library's online Schierholz catalog.
