I have always been led to believe that the back-to-back E plusH mark covered the dates 1918 - 1970, and have stated so in Stein Marks. Ron states quite logically that Hoehr became Hoehr-Grenzhausen in 1936 and therefore infers that that mark should have ceased at that date. The majority of E&E steins I have seen have had the above mark, only two have had the Hoehr - Grenzhausen listed at www.steinmarks.co.uk/pages/pv.asp?p=stein65 and I have never seen Les Hopper's back to back E without the H. The assumption that E&E's production rates were the same 1918 - 39 (21 Yrs) & 1945-70 (25Yrs) supports the theory that the EE/H mark was continued post 1936. Does anyone have any firm information? I would be glad to be proved wrong to ensure accuracy in Stein Marks.
