Many people get confused by the hexagram being the Jewish Star of David and also the south German Brewer's Guild Star. We have had a discussion here once or twice. On a beer stein or beer logo or bottle, it is almost always the Brewer's Star. Only if there was some other aspect of the decoration indicating a special Jewish theme would that be a possibility. The history of the two stars may be related as they come from the same region and time period.
