I bought this beer stein from goodwill a couple weeks ago. I don't know anything about it, I just liked how it looked. The only markings I saw were on the bottom and said "Handgemalt" and there was something in red that I couldn't make out. It is ceramic and has a pewter hindged lid. On one side there's a grape and grapevine decoration. On the other side is there's what appears to be a map with the Rhein River in the middle and different German cities surrounding it. There are 5 different crests on this map also. The handle is carved to look like a stick. That's about all I see. I would appreciate any information about this stein such as origin, date, value or anything you could tell me. I included a link below with serveral pictures.
