Frisco, This was made by Girmscheid. The Beer Stein Library lists it at $60-$80 in mint condition. You have some damage to the lid. In any case, you generally don't need insurance until the value of a stein exceeds $500, that is when the rider on my insurance policy kicks in. The German phrase on the stein is “Halt Maß u. Ziel, das beste Spiel” (Drink with moderation and limits, the best game.) Ron
