Frisco, Mettlach steins are the only ones that have a manufacturing date on them. Real regimentals generally date to the period shown for the service time. Dates engraved on the lid could have been done at any time, so you need to look at the condition and style of the stein to see if it is consistent with the date. Other steins that have a manufacturer's mark can only be dated to the period the mark was used. It would be difficult to date your stein without these clues. A good guess might be 1900 to the 1930s though. Ron
