This stein belonged to my grandmother who died 30 years ago at the age of 94. I have wondered about it's history. I am also wondering about value to see if I should insure it. It is 5" tall and 4" wide. It is made of what looks like molded glass with a pewter and porcelain lid. On one side of the lid it says, OLD STYLE LAGER. On the other side it says, LERCH & VAN SANDT. Across the bottom it says, OMAHA NEB. There is figure of a person holding a bottle in one hand and a beer stein in the other. There are grain stalks on both sides. On the inside of the lid it has a triangle the is marked, (E or F) H. Whiting Metal Co. There are no chips in the glass. Photos at:

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Jack
