Frederica, I actually got the first two photos in the first reply you posted. The Beer Stein Library states that this stein is normally marked "Martin Pauson." Can you verify that the capacity mark appears on the inside of the stein. When Frank says he attributes the stein's body to Schierholz on the basis of its physical characteristics, I think he is relying on the capacity mark being shown on the inside and perhaps the bisque quality of the porcelain. Pauson would have finished the stein with the pewter lid. European, particularly in Germany, prices may vary from those in the U.S. Ron
