I have recently been passed along a stein that I believe to be a Simon Peter Gerz Stein. This is based on the stamp that I have found on the bottom of the stein. The bottom of the stein has the Gerz logo, the letter "C", a gold stamped "8" and "Made in Germany". Under the handle is the number "1804". The words "In lust'ger Mitt, all Sorgen quitt". The pewter lid has no identifying numbers on it. Is there any way to tell the history (or lack thereof) on this stein?
