In 1913 Interboro apparently wanted to use the name in the New England states and Standard took them to court and won. I would presume that not too many years later with anti-german sentiment growing that Bismarck beer was losing popularity. Many of these steins could have been hidden away and with prohibition after WWI, I speculate that Standard Brewery Co. went out of business likely 1919 or 1920. I can find no other info on this so if anyone knows more it would be great. I don't know if an article was ever done on this stein. Of note: There was another, larger Standard BREWING Co. but the Bismarck stein is Standard BREWERY Co.
