Thanks Ron. That number seems familiar. I'm pretty sure I read it on the internet, but the author may well have used your book for his source. He had a stab at the number of men in military service during that time and a guess at how many would get a high end stein to commemorate their service. I guess it's a good thing for stein collectors those guys didn't just go get tattoos. Thanks. Bruce
