In a roundabout way, I come to the defence of Chris as he himself cited that steins are worth what people are willing to pay. See his thread "valuations" 4/24/09. Also, if you are familiar with his work, your assessment of how long someone has collected really doesn't matter. He has contributed a great deal to the hobby. I used to spend big money on another collection I put together years ago, but now I collect steins I like and enjoy rather than get hung up on pure rarity. The rarity pursuit ruins the fun pursuit. Now if you are buying for the investment and you plan on selling it for a profit that is different, but on any given day.....
