John, I think you're probably right but I suspect (and hope) that Mettlachs will raise in value again in the future. I can't answer my own question about the last 2717 1L mint from the Kirsner Auctions. The latest was 7/1/98, again 4000-5000---and for some reaon I don't have the results!
