I picked up these six steins from an estate sale and am wondering what I have. The seller said they were from his mothers estate and were a minimum of 60 years old, if not older. (??) (They seemed to have at least that much crud on them.) Stein#1 is marked 0.5L on the lip. There is a cursive "m"? under the glaze on the inside skirt at the bottom. Marked "GERMANY 1245" http://home.att.net/~deadin/Stein1.jpg Stein#2 is also marked 0.5L and has some pencil marking I can't make out on the bottom in addition to the number "730" http://home.att.net/~deadin/Stein2.jpg Stein#3 is marked 1/2L on the lip and also has the number "641" on the outside near the base. The bottom is marked "GERMANY 713" or "213". I can't quite make it out. There is also another mark of some sort on the bottom, but it may be just a scratch. I particularly like the expression on the cats face... It's going to be a baad hangover. http://home.att.net/~deadin/Stein3.jpg Stein#4 is marked 1/4L on the lip. The bottom carries the number "274" and a couple of scratches that don't look like any kind of a mark. http://home.att.net/~deadin/Stein4.jpg Stein#5 is quite small 1 3/8" at the top and 2" at the base) It is unmarked except for the trademark on the bottom. It is obviously missing its lid. http://home.att.net/~deadin/Stein5.jpg Stein#6 is tiny and carries 3 panels from Hansel & Gretel? It is completely unmarked. I like the third panel that depicts the children stuffing the witch into the oven. http://home.att.net/~deadin/Stein6.jpg Thank you for any information you can give me on these.
