With regards to your question on the RMG stein (Reinholt Merkelbach Grenzhausen): the mold number 3931 fits with your description. There are monochrome and polychrome versions of this stein. It is a common stein, with modest value (perhaps $20 on a good day). It may be a nice start of your new hobby!
