The HR mold number is actually "601". If you turn "189" upside down, you can see how the error was made. A search in the Beer Stein Library for "HR 4F" would have pulled it up. I can't account for the sale price ($760), since half-liter relief HR steins typically sell for under $200. A salt-glazed version is somewhat unusual, but I suspect this was a case of two bidders who both just "had to have it".
