How do we conclude that this buyer paid too much? Are you aware of other sales of the same stein for significantly less? Not similar in style, motif or artistry, but identically the same. I have never seen this stein before, and to someone who specializes in Oktoberfest (or Germania, or Munich) steins this may be the one and only time he will have a chance to purchase it. There were two bidders who pushed the price to this level.
