Grizelle appears to be a Japanese pottery company. A lot of German-style steins were made in Japan during the decades when Japan was notorious for making cheap copies of stuff. The Japanese can make good pottery when they want to, some people collect it. Most of the German style steins were cheap knock-off's. You can tell by the weight of the stein: the Japanese ones are much lighter than German steins. The decoration, from your description, sounds like a generic traditional German scene. For a better opinion, post a photo.
