thanks stewart, my problem was deciding weather i liked it enough to keep it, sentimental stuff aside. and the answer ended up being not really. im a bookbinder so these items arent really my forte or interest. i had some other things that were my fathers going to auction that i had to drop in to the auction house today. so i sent the stein to downies of melbourne for general auction in february. however thankyou very much for your reply and time. reguards melissa ps: happy collecting
