Item # 160192428793 While unmarked it is definitely an A.S. stein made for "HR". Does not appear to be a one-off stein as it has the usual "generic" stoneware body of A.S. steins. It does have a capacity mark which is unusual for A.S. steins but could have been a H&R blank sent to A.S. for decorating -then sent back to H& R for final marking and distribution. Seems to suggest a relationship between A.S. and H. R. in its early days (namely 1880's when "H. R." dealt in stoneware steins-and A.S. produced this incredible quality of stein decorating). Is anyone aware of such an arrangement or other A.S. stein marks "HR". I think there is a story behind this stein.
