On the other hand, Charlie Birger seems to be quite interesting. As a notorious 20's bootlegger, I suppose there is some connection to beer steins. As one of the relatively few Jewish gangsters, there might be a niche market from that. And, as his gang won a shooting war with the KKK that drove it out of southern Illinois some people there still see him as a good guy, on the whole.
