That's not relevant. The news reported the value of the Tommy guns in the local museum far above the usual value for antique weapons, and the noose was valuable enough for a court case while a piece of rope would cost next to nothing. So they have inflated value. However, I haven't turned up any similar examples in the stein world, and doubt the provenance would make much difference.
