Ken, I search for these steins all the time, using the terms you suggest. You probably know that Kirsner (The Beer Stein Book) includes only those steins that are Art Nouveau by form or shape in his section for "Art Nouveau," leaving steins which have Art Nouveau decorations on a plain body to the chapter on Pottery & Stoneware, and Art Nouveau glass steins to the section on Glass. To me, the most desirable steins are those where the body shape, handle and lid were designed as one. This includes steins designed by van de Velde, Riemerschmid, Wynand, etc. Many other steins were designed with art nouveau (lower case) elements, especially in framing a scene or on the sides, but they are basically "designs applied to a body", and although some can be attributed to artists, most are anonymous... and less interesting, to me. The net of all of this is that if you are searching on eBay, the terms "Jugendstil" and "Art Nouveau" should locate the steins you are looking for, along with a lot of other stuff which you will have to ignore.
