I think you are misinterpreting the ebay bidding process. The seller put them up at a price similar to modern nice steins from a shop, $150, and the fellow with all the bids bid 160 and then put in 180 probably just in case. Then G***S put in what must have been an excessively high bid (he also has a bid on the other reproduction stein from the same seller). Then the first fellow apparently got carried away and bid 4 times trying to beat G***S. At any rate, what I'm saying is that if someone puts in a high bid, it automatically rises and only the highest needed shows up. If someone tries to match it and fails, and tries again and again, that whole series of bids shows up.
