Thanks Walt, for sending me that article. Clearly the boot precedes Falstaff, although the oldest one looks in the same style as Falstaff is depicted wearing. I think it would be nice to add that article to the SCI site library, as the beer boot is having a resurgence of popularity due to the Beerfest film, and as there is much bad information out on the web about them.
