Kelly, As stated below, the number refers to the mold number for this manufacturer. Hanke was noted for printing Germany in an arc. The Beer Stein Library, which is separate from SCI and can be accessed in the Links section of this site, has a catalog of the Hanke steins. You do have to be a member of that site to access the stein catalogs, but you can search other pages on that site. We look forward to having you as an SCI member.
