Ken, You can probably find a ton of articles on the Brewer's star. Here is one such article, http://www.brewingmuseum.org/article10.htm Reinhold Merkelbach was forced to stop using the six-pointed star when the Nazi's came into power. The six-pointed star with a jug was attributed to Mathias Girmscheid, but the attribution was withdrawn when nobody could provide documentation for it. Ron
