Can you tell if this is a real German made stein? Look at the quality and feel the weight, etc. I ask because see http://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com/0repro/00.php#cat-f which describes a Japanese imitation mark which sounds like yours. A German company called Kalk looks similar but only has 2 digit numbers. I don't know if Kalk made steins. Other Japanese companies copied expensive porcelain marks and then made imitation German steins and used the same marks. A photo would help, of course.
